Guiding children to have the correct pencil grip is an important part of early writing and prewriting development. Many FM activities promote the development of the pincer grip in preparation for writing. Ensuring that children have either a Tripod or Quadropod Grip on their pencils strengthens the muscles in their fingers and hands, and begins building their stamina for extended writing opportunities.
