Educator Well-Being and Growth

Teacher well-being plays a critical role in their effectiveness in building supportive learning environments. We cultivate an environment where teachers feel valued, respected, and supported.

“Our work is too difficult and too beautiful to do alone.”

—Amelia Gambetti, Reggio Emilia.

A Culture of Care

We value and celebrate the wealth of knowledge, experience, and diversity educators bring to our learning community.

We are committed to listening to educators’ stories, uplift their expertise, and advocate for their voices to be heard.

We strive to meet educators’ core human needs for belonging, autonomy, competence, self-esteem, and purpose.

We support educators through meaningful Instructional coaching, relevant professional development, connections within professional learning communities, along with curriculum resources and supports.

Coaching

SEE Early Childhood Instructional Coaches support educators in their professional growth. This coaching helps educators in navigating their work in the classroom, leading to positive student outcomes.

The role of coaching:

  • create trusting and collaborative relationships
  • elevate educator voice and choice
  • develop a strength-based rapport

Transformational Coaching for Transformative Teaching & Learning:

  • Heavily influenced by the principles of Transformational Coaching, developed by Elena Aguilar, educators explore their beliefs, behaviors, and ways of being.
  • Instructional coaches form supportive relationships with educators that encourage reflection, risk-taking, and problem-solving.
  • Together, we create a culture of “we” – collective responsibility, collective effort, and collective impact.

Professional Development

We provide comprehensive, collaborative professional learning to advance the quality of early education experiences for children and families.

We meet teachers where they are, offer content to meet the diverse needs of educators.

We provide hands-on help to teachers and programs so they can turn new ideas into everyday practices that benefit children.

We listen and use teacher feedback, classroom observations, and child assessments (like PELI and ESI) to shape training that truly makes a difference.

We pair teachers and directors with expert coaches who work alongside them, focusing on tools and strategies that help them understand and support each child’s development.

Educator Advancement

We are committed to helping early educators build meaningful, sustainable careers. These opportunities are designed to support growth, elevate practice, and create leadership pathways.

Professional Development & Learning

Instructional coaches offer ongoing, tailored support to teachers. Educators receive guidance for classroom planning, goal setting, and reflect on their work through collaborative learning communities.

Career Pathways & Leadership Roles

Educators can grow into lead or mentor teacher roles and help shape programs by co-leading PD, supporting peers, or contributing to curriculum development.

Higher Education & Credentialing Support

We offer scholarships and tuition support for AA, BA, or MA degrees in early childhood education, along with help earning or renewing EEC certifications. Local college partnerships support degree and endorsement pathways.

Assessment & Specialized Training

Teachers receive training in assessments like PELI, ASQ, and CLASS, plus access to CPR/First Aid certification and tools to support data-informed instruction and family engagement.

Networked Learning & Public Recognition

Educators join city-wide learning communities, contribute to local conferences, and are celebrated through public spotlights, educator features, and recognition events.

Compensation & Career Mobility

Advancement is tied to education, leadership, and coaching. Educators may qualify for stipends, bonuses, or higher pay, with flexibility to move between community-based and public school programs.
