Assessment

Early childhood assessments, administered by teachers, play a vital role in understanding and supporting young children’s development and learning. In Somerville’s early education programs, a variety of assessments are thoughtfully used to capture the whole child academically, socially, and developmentally. These assessments help educators, families, and specialists collaborate to ensure every child is seen, supported, and set up for success.
